How to sew a button

Learn how to sew on a button in the unlikely event that one falls off your shirt or suit & you can’t sweet talk your wife, girlfriend or mother into sewing it on for you.

In the event that a button does fall of your suit or shirt and you can’t sweet talk one of the aforementioned women into sewing it on for you, the diagram above gives you the “number 8 wire” method of getting the job done.

This is also useful if you’re traveling and don’t want to pay the hotel you’re staying in an extortionate amount to do this simple task for you. Just remember to get the job done properly (by your tailor or local menswear store) once you return home.
